A leading manufacturer in Charlottetown, PE is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of its production operations. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with significant leadership experience in regulated manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, managing costs, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion a safe workplace by ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies and protocols.
Develop, execute, and monitor the production strategy aligned with company operational goals.
Assist in the preparation of operational and capital budgets, as well as developing procedures and policies.
Analyze performance, line speed, and efficiency data to drive productivity improvements.
Lead, coach, and develop employees using Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Ensure compliance with all production procedures, customer requirements, and government regulations.
Coordinate activities across departments and with suppliers to maximize human, machine, and equipment efficiency.
Qualifications:
7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in dietary supplement and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Background in Manufacturing, Processing, or Packaging, preferably in food production.
Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an asset.
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
