Position: Senior Production Clerk

Job Overview:

This position achieves the Genuine Merchant Strategy by ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained in all areas of the production facility with regard to quality and by providing appropriate training to team members to achieve the highest level of productivity with a strict adherence to standard operating procedures and all other company procedures specific to Food Safety and Health and Safety.

Accountabilities:

Food & Product Knowledge:

  • Providing product and production information to the Hot or Cold Room Captain regarding raw products, quality and production volumes
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of assembly and preparation
  • A basic understanding of recipe creation and the ability to quickly learn and teach new processes.
  • Knowledge of Ad items, programs and events relevant to product assembly and preparation production
  • Strong knowledge of all finished goods SKU’s

Implementing Quality Control Cleanliness and Presentation:

  • Controlling all aspects of Quality Control and cleanliness by:
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of products at all times by checking dates and removing substandard products
  • Prepare product in keeping with department standards
  • Perform special tasks as assigned
  • Adherence to food safety standards
  • Adherence to proper sanitization and cleaning procedures

Department Policies and Standard Operating Procedures:

Responsible for complying with all department policies and standard operating procedures for:

  • Proper product preparation
  • Proper rotation and storage
  • Careful handling of products
  • Correct pricing and packaging
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Food Safety
  • Loss Prevention
  • Dress Code Policy
  • Responsible for shrink – product quality, ensures proper ordering, controls supplies, inventory control, product rotation, storage

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in large scale food production facility
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices
  • Appropriate knowledge of maintenance and care of equipment, materials and supplies relevant to your area of production.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards, WHMIS, and Loss Prevention practises.
  • Knowledge of temperature control parameters.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may take place in any of the production rooms with participation in meetings within the office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
