Job overview:

We are reshaping live media production through innovative cloud and hybrid solutions built for flexibility, scalability, and security. We are looking for a Broadcast Workflow Validation Specialist with deep expertise in media production systems and Ross Video product integration to support our software development, product verification, and technical support teams. This is a hands-on, lab-based role ideal for someone with extensive broadcast operations experience and a passion for system validation and workflow design.

Note that this is a 100% in-person role.

What the job is all about:

  • Lab Ownership and Management
  • Design, develop, and maintain a broadcast lab environment for testing and validation.
  • Ensure the lab replicates realistic end-to-end workflows using Ross hardware/software and integrated third-party components.
  • Maintain lab infrastructure, perform upgrades, and support system configurations across SDI and IP-based solutions.
  • Apply basic AWS knowledge to assist with cloud-connected workflow validation.

Broadcast Workflow Validation

  • Define, document, and execute structured test plans using tools like Zephyr to ensure operational quality across workflows.
  • Collaborate with software development, product verification, and technical support teams to validate features and resolve workflow-related issues.
  • Simulate real-world production scenarios to assess system behavior, interoperability, and reliability.
  • Lead workflow staging and scenario-based validation for upcoming software and hardware releases.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Provide expert-level diagnostic and root-cause analysis for complex workflow issues.
  • Support the technical support team in reproducing and investigating escalated customer problems.
  • Assist in onboarding and training internal teams on workflow best practices and lab usage.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product verification, and technical support, to validate and troubleshoot complex workflows.
  • Document system setups, test procedures, and known issues with clarity and thoroughness.
  • Deliver in-lab training and demonstrations of workflows and new capabilities.
  • Coordinate with other product teams to ensure interoperability and alignment across integrated solutions.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of experience in broadcast lab ownership, system design, or workflow operations.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Ross Video equipment and broadcast-quality SDI systems.
  • Proven expertise in designing and validating end-to-end broadcast and media workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS); familiarity with Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based or hybrid media production workflows.
  • Strong skills in writing and executing test plans using tools such as Zephyr or similar.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and system-level thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience building and delivering internal training on systems and workflows.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Familiarity with IP-based video production (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110, NDI).
  • Exposure to Agile development environments and collaborative toolsets (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
