Job summary

Intact is seeking a Senior Product Owner – Security within the Cyberdefence team in Montreal. You will lead the product vision, backlog and roadmap for cybersecurity solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure delivery on time and value.

In this hybrid role, you will translate research into marketable products, drive KPIs, oversee audits, and mentor the delivery team to build secure, resilient products that meet business objectives and comply with company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education/experience.
• 5–7 years in cybersecurity.
• At least 3 years in IT security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP).
• Certifications like CSPO/PSPO I/II are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and strategy with stakeholders.
• Create and prioritize product backlog and epics.
• Ensure correct sequencing and timely release of features.
• Collaborate on defining the cybersecurity roadmap and KPIs.
• Lead agile delivery team and communicate priorities clearly.
• Monitor progress and adjust scope based on business value.
• Ensure alignment with Intact policies and standards.
• Oversee audits and resource planning as needed.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

118,700 - 145,100

Annual Bonus Target, Based On The Base Salary, With a Potential Payout Of Up To Double The Target (subject To Personal And Company Performance)

About The Role

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Product Owner – Security!

As part of the Cyberdefence - Detection Engineering team, you will be the Detection Engineering Specialist who acts as a Cyberdefence Product Owner.

What You’ll Do Here

• Communicates with stakeholders to define the products or products' category vision and strategy ensuring their interests are included in the release.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, breaking down epics into user stories and ensuring they are ready for development.
• Responsible for the business aspects of the project including ensuring the right products are being built in the right order and release is developed by the deadlines. Ensures consistency between products.
• Collaborate with management and stakeholders to define/up to date the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, focusing on cybersecurity solutions.
• Independently leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.
• Follows-up with stakeholders and senior management on a need basis.
• Inspires the team to deliver best-in-class products.
• Responsible for the business aspects of the project including ensuring the right products are being built in the right order and release is developed by the deadlines.
• Ensures consistency between products.
• Leads, plans, tracks and is accountable for all phases of the products life cycle from the beginning of the project to the introduction into the marketplace.
• Responsible for products and/or products category evolution.
• Ensures compliance with Intact group policies and standards.
• Supervises and accompanies resources on internal and external audits
• Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes or resource additions.
• Ensures business objectives and targets are met through data analytics, and feedback.
• Determines products KPIs and objectives.
• Discovers and proposes new product ideas & design, develops concepts to strategically enhance existing products or product extensions.
• Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.

Experience In

What you bring to the table:

• SIEM with Microsoft Sentinel, AWS and GCP.
• SIEM/SOAR automation.
• Good understanding of Threat
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 5 to 7 years in cybersecurity.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT Security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP).
• Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO I, PSPO II) will be considered an asset.
• Good understanding of the Agile development process and best practices.
• Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Your experience and application knowledge in the insurance field, an asset.
• Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
