Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Canada seeks a Senior Product Owner - Security to lead the Detection Engineering product line within Cyberdefence. You will define the product vision, manage backlogs, and align cybersecurity solutions with business needs.

You will guide an Agile delivery team, manage priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely releases and value delivery. Hybrid work model and competitive compensation apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 5 to 7 years in cybersecurity.
  • At least 3 years of IT Security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP).
  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO I, PSPO II) is an asset.
  • Good understanding of the Agile development process and practices.
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • No Canadian work experience required, must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog and epics.
  • Ensure correct release sequencing and deadlines.
  • Collaborate to define the product roadmap for cybersecurity solutions.
  • Lead the Agile delivery team and translate vision into executed work.
  • Follow up with stakeholders and senior management as needed.
  • Inspire the team to deliver best-in-class products.
  • Ensure lifecycle governance and product consistency across releases.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven decisions.

Salary range (but not limited to):

118,700 - 145,100

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Product Owner - Security!

As part of the Cyberdefence - Detection Engineering team, you will be the Detection Engineering Specialist who acts as a Cyberdefence Product Owner.

What you'll do here
  • Communicates with stakeholders to define the products or products' category vision and strategy ensuring their interests are included in the release.
  • Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, breaking down epics into user stories and ensuring they are ready for development.
  • Responsible for the business aspects of the project including ensuring the right products are being built in the right order and release is developed by the deadlines. Ensures consistency between products.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to define/up to date the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, focusing on cybersecurity solutions.
  • Independently leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.
  • Follows-up with stakeholders and senior management on a need basis.
  • Inspires the team to deliver best-in-class products.
  • Responsible for the business aspects of the project including ensuring the right products are being built in the right order and release is developed by the deadlines.
  • Ensures consistency between products.
  • Leads, plans, tracks and is accountable for all phases of the products life cycle from the beginning of the project to the introduction into the marketplace.
  • Responsible for products and/or products category evolution.
  • Ensures compliance with Intact group policies and standards.
  • Supervises and accompanies resources on internal and external audits
  • Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes or resource additions.
  • Ensures business objectives and targets are met through data analytics, and feedback.
  • Determines products KPIs and objectives.
  • Discovers and proposes new product ideas & design, develops concepts to strategically enhance existing products or product extensions.
  • Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
What you bring to the table:
Experience in:
  • SIEM with Microsoft Sentinel, AWS and GCP.
  • SIEM/SOAR automation.
  • Good understanding of Threat
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 to 7 years in cybersecurity.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT Security monitoring (SIEM, SOAR, XDR, TIP).
  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO I, PSPO II) will be considered an asset.
  • Good understanding of the Agile development process and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Your experience and application knowledge in the insurance field, an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English)-Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
