The Product Marketing team at Lightspeed is seeking a results-oriented Sr. Product Marketing Manager to accelerate growth of the Retail product line in North America. Reporting to the Global PMM Lead for Retail, this position will: determine the go-to-market strategy for retail verticals in the US and Canada; establish impactful positioning and messaging; conduct market analysis; gather customer feedback; and build and execute programs that support business goals. Additionally, you will act as the voice of the customer for the NOAM region and ensure customer needs are addressed at each marketing touchpoint.

You will interact with diverse stakeholders such as product, marketing, sales, customer service, partnerships and others in order to help accelerate the launch and lifecycle management of our retail products.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Become an expert in the retail industry and understand the technology landscape that helps retailers be successful.
  • Own the market research roadmap and glean nuanced market insights to inform product and marketing roadmaps, and hone messaging.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our customers and validate user personas to translate insights into strategies supporting organizational OKRs.
  • Develop the go-to-market strategy for Lightspeed Retail in North America and drive the planning and execution of GTM programs, with ownership of the results.
  • Be the go-to person for messaging around our products and value proposition.
  • Collaborate on launching new products and features, and surface insights from customers and sales teams to inform future product development.
  • Work with sales and partner teams to develop enablement materials.
  • Develop collaborative relationships across departments including Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Support, and Creative teams.
  • Create a roadmap of marketing initiatives spanning the customer lifecycle from launch to retention.
  • Work closely with Content, Design, Marketing Automation, and Product teams to develop compelling content.

What you need to bring to the team:

  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, growth, or lifecycle marketing.
  • Background in SaaS marketing, preferably with experience in consumer apps/technologies, startups, or small business audiences.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across departments.
  • Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in helping SMBs succeed.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • MBA or Product Marketing Alliance certification.
  • Experience in the retail industry.
