Senior Product Manager - Halifax

RBC's Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS) technology services team is seeking a Product Manager to help manage and prioritize work within various applications that are internally facing. This role will work collaboratively with internal clients and oversee workloads to ensure project objectives are achieved. You will be heavily involved in shaping the future technology landscape of RBC Capital Markets by delivering key business values for multiple transformational projects in Business & Client Services Technology.

This role is responsible for the ideation, management, and oversight of the implementation of key parts of the Business & Client Services Technology platform. You will accomplish this through teamwork, a can-do mindset with a hands-on approach, and a focus on details. You need to be an expert-level organizer to resolve issues structurally, providing clarity and direction. Challenging the team on technical details and thinking functionally are also essential skills.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead transformation initiatives within our Business & Client Services Technology
• Document and build specifications; contribute across the team
• Collaborate with the business on prioritization to deliver multiple ongoing transformations
• Identify economies of scale across projects and understand detailed requirements
• Create low-fidelity mockups to visualize concepts for internal and external stakeholders

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have :

• Undergraduate degree with change management experience in complex, high-frequency request environments with multiple priorities
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities; adept at understanding stakeholder needs
• Excellent organizational, product/project management, and time management skills
• Fundamental understanding of computer science, technology, or financial services
• Proficiency in data manipulation using Python or Excel
• Results-oriented with proven ability to manage diverse work across multiple projects

Nice-to-have :

• Startup experience
• Knowledge of Capital Markets, Accounting, Sub-Ledgers, Payments, FinTech, DeFi, Crypto & Blockchain
• Strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
