Reporting to the Director, Products & Services, Private Payers, as a Senior Product Manager you will play a vital role in in planning, developing and implementing our FlexIt 360 product strategy and roadmap evolution to drive our growth and client success.

As a key member of the Products & Services team, you will have an opportunity to influence and build our benefits administration go-to-market strategies, focused on innovation and market competitive positioning by collaborating across Payer Solutions & TELUS Health to create a winning strategy that anticipates the needs of our customers and drives the organization's growth objectives and market expansion opportunities across Canada.

Your natural ability to form strong working relationships, and drive to seek resolution to customer business problems through creative ideas and approaches is key to your success.

Here are some of the key responsibilities and activities you will lead in this role:

  • Drive the strategic direction and deliver on major product objectives including existing and innovative flexible benefits administration product suite through the product lifecycle with a focus on client value and growth
  • Partner to set overall product strategy, innovation roadmap and governance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define execution plan, develop product launch strategies, ensuring the product roadmap strategy is supported by strong go-to-market plans with measurable KPIs and ensuring operational preparedness to deliver
  • Through the use of market and competitor analytics, drive the evolution of our administrative product offerings into new markets and optimize the value to our customers and our organization
  • Build strong relationships with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales teams to ensure operational readiness to deliver products and to generate market awareness and adoption
  • Manage multiple customer requirements while maintaining a competitive and industry leading portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and general business management activities with strategic partners, manufacturers and / or vendors
  • Provide product portfolio performance analysis and assessment using competitive market knowledge acquired through the sales process and market analysis
  • Conduct competitive analysis, benchmark current product offerings against existing market players/disrupters, track industry-wide activity and trends and determine required changes in the product, connect with our customers and use data to improve our competitiveness
  • Leverage AI tools to drive product innovation, market positioning and efficiencies
Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

You have industry experience and have many of the talents and skills below:

  • 10+ years senior expertise in product management driving innovation, strategy and optimal customer experience
  • You leverage and bring forward your prior experience in group health and pharmacy benefits management working with cross functional teams to formalize and execute overall strategic development initiatives inclusive of performance measurement development
  • You never stop seeking opportunities to improve our customer experience and are a champion for results management - through a toolkit of process, governance and execution excellence
  • You have excellent collaboration and communication skills which you use to both partner with others and to obtain alignment on your assessments and recommendations
  • Your proficiency with marketing and communication, complemented by customized storytelling ability draws admiration
  • Highly comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to effectively prioritize to meet deadlines
  • University degree in Business, Finance, or other quantitative discipline

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
