Job summary

AppDirect is seeking a senior product manager focused on billing and subscriptions to lead a scalable, enterprise-ready platform. You will own the billing roadmap, drive consumption-based models, and partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver AI‑assisted features and robust revenue operations.

You will collaborate with design in Figma, engage with enterprise clients on renewals and billing logic, and benchmark against market leaders to shape a prioritized, impactful roadmap in year one.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of product management experience with billing/payments focus.
• Experience shipping consumption-based or usage-based billing features (token usage, metering).
• Hands-on with payment APIs (Stripe, Adyen, Plaid) and API docs.
• Experience with enterprise billing platforms (Zuora, Chargebee, NetSuite, Recurly) is a plus.
• Familiarity with PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001 in payments/billing context.
• Clear, structured communication translating complex billing logic for enterprise clients and teams.
• Ability to operate across multiple teams and dependencies (marketplace, Dev AI team, finance workflows).

What we're looking for

• 5–10 years of product management experience with a strong focus on billing, invoicing, payments, or subscription management.
• Demonstrated experience shipping consumption‑based or usage‑based billing features, including familiarity with token usage, metering, and retirement concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with payment and money movement APIs such as Stripe, Adyen, or Plaid, including reviewing or producing API documentation.
• Experience with enterprise billing or ERP platforms (e.g., Zuora, Chargebee, NetSuite, or Recurly) is an asset.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 in the context of a payments or billing product is an asset.
• Clear, structured communication skills — because you will regularly translate complex billing and contract logic for enterprise clients, engineering teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders who each need a different level of detail.
• Comfort operating across multiple teams and technical dependencies simultaneously — because this role spans the core marketplace, the Dev's AI team, and finance workflows with no single‑team ownership.

The salary band listed below reflects the expected annual base salary or OTE (on-target earnings) for this role at AppDirect and may be subject to change. Base salary or OTE is just one component of AppDirect’s total compensation package. In addition to base pay, regular employees may be eligible for performance‑based bonuses and a full range of benefits.

Canada Compensation Band: $100,000 CAD - $135,000 CAD
