About The Team

Gusto Benefits aims to expand access to quality health and financial benefits, aspiring to be the top Benefits solution for SMBs. The Benefits Product team manages the full stack of Gusto’s Benefits offerings, including the front-end app, platform services, and internal tools. You’ll focus on key customer problems like expanding voluntary insurance options or reimagining enrollment experiences, working on meaningful, high-impact challenges.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Deliver improvements to how small business employees access and engage with benefits, such as expanding voluntary insurance or improving enrollment processes.
  • Own the strategy to address customer challenges, drive adoption, and manage costs, including launching new voluntary coverage lines and creating delightful enrollment experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, sales, and customer experience teams, and engage with carriers to define and prioritize product offerings.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of product management experience or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of effective execution.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and develop product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for our mission, and deep empathy for customers.
  • Experience in operationally complex and regulated industries.
  • History of building products that customers love.

Compensation ranges from $153,000 to $191,000 in Denver and major metros, and $186,000 to $230,000 in San Francisco, Seattle, and New York, depending on location, experience, and other factors.

Work Locations

Offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, with remote options across the US and Canada. Specific roles will specify work location eligibility. Office attendance is typically 2-3 days per week.
