Neighbourhood Holdings is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the investment roadmap and align business needs with engineering efforts across lending and internal systems. You will collaborate with underwriters, CFOs, and engineers to ground funding decisions in data, driving adoption and measurable impact.
The role emphasizes strategic trade-offs, system consolidation, and end-to-end rollout ownership, with AI and data-driven decision making at the core.
Neighbourhood Holdings - Senior Product Manager
Neighbourhood Holdings is a leading residential mortgage fund operating across Canada. We work directly with mortgage brokers to provide short-term loans to borrowers who can’t access traditional bank financing. Our borrowers are entrepreneurs, immigrants, young families, and people going through transition periods in their lives who don’t fit in a bank-defined box. They go to mortgage brokers, who help them get access to alternative financing through lenders like us. We market to our broker partners, who appreciate that we are transparent, efficient, and reliable, trusting us to get the job done day in and day out.
Our team is ambitious, creative, collaborative, and data-driven. We consistently seek ways to improve and thrive in complexity. Since 2015, our team has raised capital from senior lenders and wealth managers. In the fall of 2025, we acquired Fisgard Asset Management, creating one of the largest non-bank lenders in Canada with nearly $800 million in assets under management. With a proven track record for growth, we are looking to add to our team to continue on this strong trajectory. Neighbourhood is the proud recipient of CMP’s 5-Star Mortgage Product Award and one of Canada’s Best Workplaces™ in 2025.
We are hiring our first Product Manager.
Our Technology team ships a lot of good work today: a Salesforce-based origination platform, servicing and investor systems, a data and reporting layer we are building out now, and a steady stream of internal tooling for underwriting, operations and finance. What we do not yet have is one person whose whole job is where we invest next, and why.
That means more than a roadmap. It means agreeing what does not get built, and being able to say why out loud. It means looking across systems that grew up separately and judging which of them should stop being separate. It means going and finding out what our teams actually need to do their best work, rather than building whatever was asked for loudest. And it means owning the rollout, because a system nobody has adopted has not solved anything.
That is this role. You will sit next to the CTO and own the connective tissue between what the business needs and what the team builds. This is not backlog administration, and it is not a call you make alone in a room. You will build the investment plan with the people whose work depends on it: an underwriter, a CFO and an engineer in the same afternoon, and you will ground it in numbers and business impact rather than in who asked. It will get challenged, and when it does the answer is the evidence you built it on.
Compensation: Based on experience with room for advancement. The starting range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000. A comprehensive benefits package is available to all employees after a three-month waiting period.
Employment Type: Full Time; Monday to Friday; Ability to work fully remote or from our offices
Nice to have: Canadian mortgage, private lending, investment industry or fintech background; Salesforce platform experience; experience being the first PM somewhere.
A note on the AI experience. We would rather hire the right product thinker and build the AI depth than take the trade the other way around. If you have not shipped agentic work yet but you want to, tell us that in your application, along with what you have already taught yourself. You would be learning it surrounded by people who work this way every day, which is the fastest route we know. What we cannot teach is the instinct to ask whether a model or an agent should do the work at all, so bring that.
The Tech Team is remote-first across Canada, with the ability to work from our offices in downtown Vancouver and/or Victoria. We are a small technology team inside a company that moves quickly, which means short decision paths and unusually direct access to the executives who set direction.
AI here is not an initiative; it is how the technology team already works. Engineers build with agentic tooling as a daily default, individuals have taken end-to-end system prototypes from idea to working software that way, and the team proposes agent-based approaches to its own workflow before anyone asks it to. You would not be joining to convince sceptics. The capability exists; this role decides what it gets pointed at.
The employer offers an excellent benefits package for the right candidate.
