Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager plays a key role in shaping and delivering HomeEquity Bank’s product and value proposition strategy. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end product development and lifecycle initiatives, including new product launches, enhancements, and process improvements that align with strategic priorities and deliver value to clients and the Bank.

Reporting to the Director of Product, the Senior Manager works cross-functionally with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Risk, Operations, Technology, Treasury, and Finance. They lead efforts to ensure HomeEquity Bank continues to offer best-in-class products and value propositions for Canadians aged 55+, supporting business growth and long-term value creation.

This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a client-centric mindset to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact product solutions.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Product and Value Proposition Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of HomeEquity Bank’s product roadmap
  • Manage product launches and enhancements, from ideation / definition through implementation
  • Identify opportunities for continued innovation and value proposition differentiation

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle including performance monitoring, enhancement and support
  • Conduct regular product reviews, leveraging data and client / partner / employee feedback
  • Develop business cases for new product initiatives and / or enhancements
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and delivery of product initiatives
  • Ensure product documentation, policies, procedures and controls are effective and compliant

Insights And Reporting

  • Develop market, industry and product expertise in the Canadian reverse mortgage space
  • Define and report on product KPIs; support broader business performance reporting
  • Serve as a product subject matter expert for the Bank and key strategic projects
  • Conduct market, competitor, and client research to inform product strategies and enhancements

  • Solid financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data, build financial scenarios / analysis, and support value-driven decision-making
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and effective at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Qualifications And Technical Expertise

  • University degree or equivalent work experience; MBA or equivalent considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in product management and / or financial services sector
  • Experience with product development and lifecycle management in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge of residential mortgage, lending, or banking products an asset
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, compliance considerations, and customer experience best practices
