Job description

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead complex squads, set team direction, and align with key stakeholders across the organization. The role involves using analytical skills to contribute to strategic initiatives and building strong relationships with stakeholders and squads.

You’ll be responsible for :

  • End-to-end accountability for high-profile product(s), including P&L management.
  • Achieving OKRs by identifying leading indicators to monitor progress.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to determine business needs and deliver quality solutions.
  • Working closely with the Product Leader to align on strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Communicating the vision and strategy effectively to stakeholders.
  • Representing customer needs to ensure they are integrated into the squad’s work.
  • Defining the minimum viable product (MVP) for rapid testing against customer needs.
  • Using a data-driven approach to decision-making, including tracking OKRs/KPIs.
  • Partnering with the Product Leader to define and communicate acceptance criteria.
  • Optimizing value flow in a multi-team Agile environment, removing impediments, managing risks.
  • Seeking customer feedback to improve understanding and delivery of features.
  • Supporting team metrics to optimize delivery, productivity, quality, responsiveness, and predictability.
  • Demonstrating thought leadership by staying informed on industry trends and best practices.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and leveraging external best practices.
  • Fostering an inclusive, innovative team environment that promotes collaboration and self-organization.
  • Engaging with Practice Leads regarding resourcing and expertise needs.

You bring :

  • 7+ years of practical experience as a Product Owner.
  • Experience managing large impact projects and understanding customer needs.
  • Knowledge of software development processes.
  • Strong business/technical acumen and strategic mindset.
  • Deep domain expertise related to successful outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
  • An Agile mindset and passion for agile practices.
  • Ability to empower teams to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of eliciting and documenting business functionalities and information requirements.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to foster openness, mutual influence, understanding, and empathy.
  • Attention to detail and a track record of continuous improvement.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset.
  • Eligibility to work full-time for Interac in Canada.
