Job Description

The Senior Product Manager will create exceptional experiences for our buyers, leading Ritchie Bros. towards becoming the primary platform for purchasing commercial equipment and services. Collaborating with product, engineering, design, and research teams, this role will develop and shape user experiences impacting millions of RB customers. The role involves conducting research, applying industry best practices, and driving innovation to enhance customer connection and meet company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an end-to-end buyer experience, including story creation, cross-functional execution, product decision-making, and sharing insights and results.
  • Assess market and user experience research, industry trends, and competitor landscapes through customer conversations, data analysis, and metrics.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities, prioritize tasks, and implement measurable improvements.
  • Collaborate with product teams, engineering, design, and stakeholders to foster a high-performing team.
  • Lead key product initiatives.
  • Communicate complex problems clearly and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Own problems from identification to solution, across teams and leadership levels.
  • Ensure team alignment and engagement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience leading critical product initiatives.
  • Strong focus on creating excellent user experiences and attention to detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, building incremental features aligned with a larger vision, comfortable with prototypes and scalable features.
  • Effective communicator of product decisions and rationale, influencing stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative customer data, balancing creative and analytical thinking.
