Job summary

Docebo Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own features end to end, spanning front-end and back-end work across customer-facing applications, services, and APIs. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver complete product outcomes across the stack.

You’ll bring strong fundamentals, cloud experience (AWS), and a product-focused mindset, contributing across system boundaries and helping grow the team through mentoring and collaboration.

Qualifications

The Adventure Ahead

As a Senior Product Engineer, you bring strong expertise in either backend or frontend engineering alongside the ability and willingness to work across the full stack. You own features end to end, working across customer facing applications, services, APIs, and integration boundaries to deliver complete product outcomes.

Your primary strength may be building cloud native backend services and event driven systems, or developing complex frontend experiences and application architecture. We do not expect equal specialization in every part of the stack. We value strong fundamentals, depth in your primary area, and the ability to contribute effectively across system boundaries.

You work closely with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers to understand customer problems, make sound technical decisions, and take solutions from idea through production and iteration.

The Day to Day

• Own features end to end Take customer and product problems from discovery and technical design through implementation, production deployment, and iteration.

• Build across the stack Work across frontend applications, APIs, backend services, and integration layers to deliver complete customer outcomes.

• Bring technical depth Contribute strong expertise in your primary discipline while developing a broader understanding of the systems and technologies around it.

• Make good technical decisions Participate in architecture discussions, evaluate tradeoffs, and shape solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and pragmatic.

• Stay close to the product Partner with Product and Design to understand customer needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.

• Drive engineering excellence Contribute to strong testing, CI/CD, observability, code quality, and technical debt practices.

• Collaborate across functions Work with Engineering, Product, Design, QA, and platform teams to break down complex problems and deliver high quality software.

• Grow the team Support other engineers through code reviews, pairing, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Your Superpowers

• Engineering depth and breadth Four to six or more years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in either backend or frontend engineering and practical experience across the broader stack.

• End to end ownership Experience taking features from technical design through development, deployment, and production support.

• Strong fundamentals A solid understanding of software design, APIs, application architecture, testing, and maintainable production software.

• Cloud awareness Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and familiarity with modern CI/CD and observability practices.

• Product mindset The ability to understand customer problems, navigate ambiguity, and balance technical quality with meaningful delivery.

• Collaborative communication The ability to explain technical tradeoffs and work effectively across Engineering, Product, Design, and QA.

Bonus Points

• Cloud and event driven systems AWS serverless technologies, asynchronous workflows, distributed systems, or event driven architecture.

• Infrastructure and delivery Infrastructure as Code using CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools, plus CI/CD or deployment experience.

• Frontend architecture Large frontend applications, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, or performance.

• Backend breadth Node.js and TypeScript services or experience with Go, Python, PHP, or other backend technologies.

• Production observability Monitoring, tracing, structured logging, metrics, and production diagnosis.

Our Stack

Our product teams work primarily with TypeScript across frontend and backend development. Frontend applications include Angular and modern web technologies. Backend and platform systems span Node.js, TypeScript, Go, PHP, Python, AWS, REST APIs, event driven architectures, relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD, and modern observability tooling.

You do not need deep expertise in every technology we use. We are looking for engineers with depth in a primary discipline, strong software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to become effective quickly in unfamiliar systems.
