Job summary

Waabi seeks a senior product designer to lead design across its driverless ecosystem, including fleet management interfaces and real-time dashboards. You will observe operators in real environments to inform workflows and design human-AI interactions for dispatch and monitoring.

Collaborating with PMs, engineers, researchers, and operations, you will contribute to the design system and evolve the product culture, eventually owning the full human-to-robot experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing for information-dense ecosystems.
• Ability to break down messy problems with user-centric thinking.
• First-principles approach to design challenges.
• Comfort in ambiguous environments and complex operations.
• Interest in logistics, hardware integrations, and autonomous tech.
• Strong craft, balancing polish with usability.
• Experience designing in code and with component libraries.
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Knowledge of real-time monitoring interfaces and fleet management.
• Background in industrial design or hardware interfaces is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of a driverless ecosystem and supporting tools.
• Design fleet management workflows, dashboards, and remote operations.
• Observe users in real environments to optimize workflows.
• Define human interactions with AI for fleet tracking and dispatch.
• Contribute to a shared design system and design language.
• Work with PMs, engineers, researchers, and operations to define requirements.
• Collaborate to shape design culture and processes as the second product designer.
• Grow to own the full human-to-robot experience.
