Job summary

Waabi is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own human-in-the-loop workflows that transform raw driving data into a safer autonomy stack. You will design data labeling, map annotation, and discovery tools, unifying workflows to accelerate training data throughput and model performance.

You’ll join as the third product designer on the Product, Design & TPM team, building a scalable design system and front-end infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years designing complex, data-rich tools where the primary interface is structured data: tables, filters, search, dashboards, maps, or annotation tools.
• Design-systems with tokens, documentation, governance, adoption, and engineer enablement.
• AI-assisted coding (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) used for prototyping and shipping.
• Strong front-end and data-visualization literacy enabling buildable, performant interfaces.
• Knowledge of map annotation, data curation workflows, and data lineage visualization.

Responsibilities

• Design data labeling and annotation workflows to unify throughput and quality.
• Create data discovery surfaces and annotation tools for AV data across logs, events, simulations, and labels.
• Ground work in research by shadowing labelers and analysts to derive insights.
• Build and scale Waabi's design system across components and surfaces.
• Establish front-end and design infrastructure for self-service tooling with robust prototyping.
• Ship directly in code, contributing to production React codebases with AI-assisted tools.
