We are looking for a designer who wants to lead the creation of product experiences across our Human Experience (HX) Platform, that provides our customers with the intelligence to build better customer experiences for their users.

This is a unique role, as you’ll be shaping our offering, working closely with a wide range of specialists to deliver solutions that help define the Healthcare services that millions of people use. This role will give you freedom, accountability and the opportunity to lead, shape and deliver real change that directly impacts our customers. We are led by research, lean in our ways of working, and love to co-create with the business around us.

We’re not going to lie, it is a complex role, and you’ll have to work hard, learn about our product and services, embracing new technologies like AI to constantly hone and grow our market share. There is a great team around you, working closely with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Developers to Design Researchers and Technical Writers - you’ll build relationships and friends fast.

You will be expected to:

  • Employ a set of tools and methods such as journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups, design prototypes and detailed specs to ensure your solutions are implemented perfectly.
  • Communicate and present your process as well as your solutions to a variety of different audiences while maintaining a healthy level of objectivity.
  • Transform scattered requirements and fragmented experiences into coherent user journeys that provide a seamless experience and delight the users.
  • Deconstruct complex problems into something understandable. You are capable of zooming out and discussing a high-level strategic decision and zoom in to discuss interaction design details with fluency.
  • An ability to work with and contribute to the Design System to ensure consistency across products.
  • Engage with UX researchers in discovery interviews and usability testing.
  • Coach your peers and stakeholders to improve our way of working and envision possibilities.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Have excellent visual design skills with proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch and the Adobe Creative Suite.

What you bring:

  • 6+ years as a Product, Graphic, Interaction or User Experience Designer.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare services and ideally experience in this space.
  • A great portfolio of work and great stories to tell about the projects you’ve completed.
  • Work that demonstrates complex reporting solutions, dealing with data visualization, and experience with working with enterprise products.
  • Passion, enthusiasm and a desire to help build our design community in the organization.
  • BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $88,000 - $145,000 CAD. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
