About the Role

As our Senior Product Designer, you’ll own end-to-end design across Tripshepherd’s web and mobile products, crafting experiences that combine the immediacy of TikTok-style discovery with powerful AI-driven personalization. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to shape a product from scratch, collaborating directly with our Chief Product Officer and marketing leadership.

You’ll be at the heart of defining our product’s visual identity, ensuring intuitive usability, and delivering delightful interactions at every touchpoint.

What You’ll Do

End-to-End Product Design
  • Own the design process from concept through launch, producing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals in Figma.
  • Create elegant UX/UI solutions for AI-powered recommendations, real-time mapping, conversational interfaces, and video-first discovery experiences.
Rapid Iteration & Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively in agile sprints with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
  • Continually refine designs based on data, analytics, user feedback, and market insights.
Brand and Design System Ownership
  • Expand our evolving design system, setting clear standards and ensuring consistency across mobile and web.
  • Establish TripShepherd’s visual identity, ensuring our product interfaces clearly reflect our community-driven ethos.
User Research & Validation
  • Leverage user research—conducted remotely or in local São Paulo testing sessions—to validate and refine your designs.
  • Utilize both qualitative (user interviews, usability tests) and quantitative insights (analytics, heatmaps, session recordings).
Cross-Functional Teamwork
  • Partner closely with developers to ensure accurate and polished implementation of your designs.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure product visuals and campaign messaging align seamlessly.
Continuous Innovation & Ownership
  • Proactively identify UX improvement opportunities, propose new features, and champion design-driven innovation.
  • Stay ahead of trends in product design, travel-tech, AI, and social media integration, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Who You Are
  • Senior-level experience: 5+ years as a Product Designer, with a proven portfolio demonstrating end-to-end mobile/web product launches.
  • Design craft: Expert in Figma (wireframes, prototypes, design systems), skilled in creating both beautiful visuals and intuitive interactions.
  • User-centric: Strong user empathy and experience conducting or leveraging user research for informed decision-making.
  • English proficiency: Excellent English communication skills required (Portuguese fluency is a plus).
  • Agility & collaboration: Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments. You thrive on iteration, collaboration, and feedback.
  • Bonus experience: Familiarity with AI-driven design, video or creator-focused platforms, marketplaces, or travel industry UX.
