Senior Product Designer (12-Month Contract)

Hybrid (Toronto – 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join a dynamic team at a leading financial services organization. If you love designing impactful digital products and want to work in a startup-like environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

You’ll be the sole designer on the team, working closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to create a seamless and user-friendly digital payments platform for business clients. It’s a great opportunity to lead the design from start to finish and make a real impact on the user experience.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Lead the design of complex digital products, including everything from user flows to prototypes.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and conduct usability testing to refine designs.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to bring your design ideas to life.
Present your design recommendations and use data and feedback to influence decisions.
Manage relationships with stakeholders and help guide the team toward the best solutions.

We’re looking for someone who has:

7-10 years of experience in product design, with a focus on interaction design.
A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design complex digital products (web and mobile).
Experience running client research and usability testing to inform your design decisions.
A collaborative mindset and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
The confidence to lead design initiatives from strategy through to execution.
Excellent communication skills – you’re comfortable presenting and influencing decisions.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience in financial services or digital payments platforms.
Familiarity with design systems and how design translates into development.
A background in content design or systems thinking.
