Job summary

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls division, is seeking a Product Design Engineer in Edmonton to lead complex equipment designs for data‑center applications. You will drive manufacturable design solutions, collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project teams, and mentor junior engineers.

You will use Creo 9 to generate 3D models and documentation, ensure design changes follow SOPs, and contribute to scalable product architecture for production ramp and long‑term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Senior‑level product design experience delivering complex equipment in production.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical problems and drive solutions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and impact of design decisions on cost, quality and throughput.
• Proficiency in Creo 9 with working knowledge of Windchill PLM and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product design and development work to deliver manufacturable solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Coordinate across cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain and projects.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, and implement scalable design solutions for throughput and long‑term strategy.
• Create and release 3D models, drawings, and BOMs using Creo 9 in compliance with standards.
