POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior Product Data Analyst in the Portfolio Management team, you will be instrumental in leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize portfolio performance and inform key pricing and profitability decisions. You will support a range of initiatives that directly impact the bank’s product offerings and portfolio strategy. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Risk, Finance, IT, and Operations, to integrate advanced data-driven insights into strategic decisions and drive business outcomes.
MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE
Key accountabilities of this position include:
Data-Driven Decision Support:
Provide actionable insights from internal and external data sources to support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and portfolio management decisions. Utilize machine learning models and statistical techniques to identify trends and optimize business performance.
Portfolio Performance Analysis:
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for portfolio health, including risk, profitability, and growth metrics. Create actionable reports that inform the ongoing management of the bank’s portfolio.
Reverse Mortgage Pricing Models:
Design, develop, and maintain pricing models for Reverse Mortgages using Python and other advanced analytics tools. Ensure models are robust, scalable, and optimized to support business needs.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Collaborate with teams across IT, Sales, Marketing, Risk, Finance, and Operations to deliver on the bank’s data strategy. Work together to implement data science initiatives that enhance the bank’s product offerings and market position.
Data Science for Business Solutions:
Apply financial and banking domain knowledge to build data science models and solutions that drive value for the business. Identify data science opportunities to support strategic initiatives across the portfolio management lifecycle.
Model Lifecycle Management:
Support data governance initiatives with a focus on model development, deployment, and maintenance. Manage the full lifecycle of predictive models, ensuring their alignment with regulatory requirements and business goals.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field is required
Relevant project experience in successfully launching, planning, and executing data science projects, preferably in the financial services industry
Proven understanding of the underlying statistical techniques, machine learning theory and predictive modeling lifecycle.
Substantial software development experience in one or more of the following languages (Python, R, Scala, Java) and strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Experience deploying machine learning software solutions to cloud-based & on-premises environments
Ideally the candidate is experienced in Agile methodologies and applying DevOps/MLOps workflows to the creation of data science and ML pipelines
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in clear language to stakeholders
