ROLE OVERVIEW

SALT XC and Salt Studios, our in-house production team, is looking for a Senior Producer to join the team.

The Senior Producer is primarily responsible for the successful execution of creative ideas for clients, working closely with internal agency teams (from Strategy, Accounts, Creative) to external suppliers (production vendors, production consultants, key partners & freelance resources). They also have solid experience producing across the following platforms: Broadcast & TV, OLV, print, social and digital and are able to foster positive energy, manage expectations and work collaboratively to find creative solutions to problems that arise during the development of projects.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a mix of Broadcast & Digital productions.
• On-set team management and leadership.
• Track and maintain project budgets and coordinate, plan and execute production schedules, shoots and prep projects for post.
• Track and maintain production budgets.
• Collaborate with creative teams to elevate the creative concept by providing ideas, production solutions and options, relevant references, etc.
• Evaluate initial creative concepts and define deliverables.
• Research and recommend best-in-class suppliers (production companies, directors, key partners and freelance resources) and negotiate fees/rates.
• Build, maintain and update vendor contracts.
• Manage insurance & legal paperwork.
• Manage each production day-to-day, communications with suppliers/ agency teams/ clients/ vendors.
• Oversee key steps/phases during project development (Pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery).
• Collaborate with creative teams and suppliers to identify and mitigate risks to projects/ proactively problem solve.
• Keep the Executive Producer informed of key developments with projects on an ongoing basis.
• Oversee and project manage on-set or virtual productions.
• Project manage & produce post-production and delivery of final assets.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• 7-8 years of experience in a production role at a creative agency, broadcaster, media agency or production company diverse production experience.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, large-scale projects, consistently meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Strong client communication skills, adept at managing expectations and incorporating feedback effectively.
• Proven ability to coordinate diverse stakeholder groups and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in project management tools such as Monday.com, with a solid grasp of project management frameworks.
• Team-oriented leader with a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Driven by a passion for solving challenges creatively and delivering innovative, results-oriented solutions.
• Experience in the development of content (film, print, photography, etc.), digital (web, mobile, social, etc.) and experiential (events, activation, etc.) projects.
• Strong knowledge of top-tier suppliers/ good relationships with key contacts in North America and negotiation skills (experience working with cost consultants).
• Strong technical knowledge of production.
• Strong knowledge of talent union requirements/ legal considerations.
• Working knowledge of the following Adobe Creative Suite (an asset).
