Qualifications

• 5 years experience working in a produce department in a large format retail food environment.
• 3 years in a manager role.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate produce requirements to secure pricing, quality and delivery terms.
• Manage department inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor and processes to company standards.
• Ensure each new department employee receives proper training and supervision.
• Effectively schedule personnel to meet department needs based on business volume and workloads.
• Record markups, markdowns, in-store usage, voids, refunds and waste write-offs per policy.
• Respond to customer inquiries, providing information on merchandise and prices.
• Keep refrigerated cases and display shelves stocked and faced according to movement and standards.
• Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness in the department.
