As a Senior Procurement Specialist working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will manage the bid to procure cycle for the purchase of specialized equipment, materials, subcontracts, and services success.

What You Will Do
  • Demonstrate good understanding and working in a Project management environment.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of Project budget and schedule.
  • Participate in assessing requirements of forthcoming packages, contribute in developing Construction work packages (CWP’s), specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and negotiate terms of contract terms, delivery, and ensuring scheduled deadlines while on budget.
  • Invite tenders, consult with suppliers and review quotations.
  • Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions or recommend contract awards to supplier contracts.
  • Negotiate with current and potential suppliers in an effort to obtain the best price and favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with Supply Chain vendor accreditation process.
  • Advise project team of critical information, such as specification changes, delivery status, price changes, etc.
This role could be for you if you have
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a similar role on construction projects.
  • Supply chain management designation such as SCMP, CSCL, CSCP, or CPSM preferably.
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $97,000 - $131,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
