As a Senior Procurement Specialist working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $ million to upwards of $1 billion – you will manage the bid to procure cycle for purchase of specialized equipment, materials, subcontracts and services success.

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrate good understanding and experience in a Project management environment.
  • Understand project budgets and schedules.
  • Assess requirements for upcoming packages and contribute to developing construction work packages (CWPs), specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, negotiate contract terms, delivery schedules, and ensure deadlines are met within budget.
  • Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, review quotations.
  • Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, and recommend contract awards to suppliers.
  • Negotiate with current and potential suppliers to obtain the best price and favorable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with the Supply Chain vendor accreditation process.
  • Advise the project team of critical information such as specification changes, delivery status, and price changes.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $97,000 - $131,000. Salaries may vary depending on experience and location. Compensation is exclusive of bonuses and includes extensive employee benefits. Availability of benefits may vary based on the specific role.
