As the Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in executing procurement and sourcing activities to support internal stakeholders across the URUS organization. You will focus on supplier engagement, competitive sourcing, and procurement coordination, working closely with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Sourcing Support:
- Plan and execute RFX events (RFI, RFQ, RFP)
- Assist in evaluating potential suppliers, support the execution and onboarding process, and coordinate bid evaluations and supplier comparisons
- Develop scope documents and evaluation criteria for sourcing events in consultation with stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with global functions to clarify purchasing needs and align sourcing activities with organizational timelines
- Support the organization's procurement transformation
- Obtain competitive quotes and maintain records of supplier performance and pricing
- Support new vendor identification and qualification initiatives
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and redlining commercial terms
- Coordinate internal reviews with Legal, Finance, and Operations to finalize contracts
- Monitor contract performance and support change request or amendment process
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of supplier quotes, evaluations, and sourcing decisions
- Highlight sourcing risks or inefficiencies for mitigation or escalation
- Contribute to spend analysis, savings reporting, and benchmarking activities
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and sourcing projects
Policy & Compliance:
- Act as a procurement policy advocate
- Support internal audits and contribute to supplier performance tracking
- Reinforce the use of preferred channels to promote policy adherence
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) highly beneficial
- 5+ years of relevant procurement and tactical sourcing experience, preferably in indirect procurement
- Multi-Lingual capabilities in Spanish and Portuguese highly desired
- Strong working knowledge of procurement systems and Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to build relationships, provide excellent service, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Track record of effectively identifying and solving supply chain challenges
- Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques
- Willingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) approximately 10%
