Overview

Are you an analytical professional with expertise in negotiation? As a Senior Procurement Coordinator, you will support our procurement team during the ERP upgrade process. You will conduct in-depth analytics and assist in the negotiation of supplier contracts to ensure optimal value for the organization. Collaborate with industry experts and dedicated teams to streamline our procurement processes and make a significant impact on our operations.

What you will be doing
  • Research, identify, evaluate suppliers, service providers, and subcontractors in compliance with SBP’s Procurement Policy.
  • Track inventory levels, determine reorder points, and manage stock levels to avoid shortages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
  • Prepare and maintain purchase and pricing information in spreadsheets.
  • Develop and update supplier lists with qualifications, delivery times, and potential future developments.
  • Assess and research potential vendors for materials and products.
  • Create pricing sheets, cost assessment reports, and budgeting materials.
  • Work with team members and procurement managers to complete duties as needed.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience working on construction projects.
  • Ability to track Procurement Register and update it regularly while adhering to the Procurement Schedule.
  • Understanding of Construction Sequences and coordination requirements within a project.
  • Familiarity with current construction market rates, OPSS Rates, Union Labour Agreement Rates, and construction material rates.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Basic mathematics and entry-level reasoning skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to grow and adapt with the company, including training in construction and procurement specifics.
