Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Procurement Advisor on a permanent basis for our Procurement team.

This position offers a hybrid work opportunity with a preference for candidates based in or near Saskatoon, SK.

Join Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) as a Senior Procurement Advisor and play a key role in transforming procurement into a strategic, center-led function. You will work directly with business units to drive sourcing excellence, supplier performance, and cost efficiencies in a hybrid role based in Saskatoon.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing end-to-end procurement for FCL and Retail Co-op Construction and Operations projects, serving as the subject matter expert guiding stakeholders from contracting strategy and sourcing to negotiation and contract management.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contract compliance, resolving disputes, and addressing complex issues escalated from lower levels.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on procurement processes, systems, and tools, providing critical feedback to drive continuous improvement and change management.
  • Serving as a key partner and technical lead in communication, change management, and training initiatives, ensuring effective delivery and adoption within assigned business units.

Collaborations:

You will work closely with local Co-ops, business unit stakeholders, and the Supply Chain Business Unit, reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement, fostering a culture of collaboration, strategic thinking, and creativity.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in procurement or related fields like operations, engineering, finance, or accounting, with experience in architectural, engineering, and construction projects or similar scopes.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a relevant field, along with a Supply Chain Management Diploma/Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience with sourcing, procurement, and digital source-to-pay tools, data analytics, and procurement at the operational level.
  • Certificates in supply chain management, engineering, finance, or Lean/Six Sigma are advantageous.
