Our client is a company at the forefront of revolutionizing the advanced recycling industry. Their mission is to integrate circular recycling for blended plastics to eliminate landfill waste. The company’s cutting-edge technologies leverage reaction engineering and advanced analytics to enable high-efficiency recycling processes. The goal is ambitious yet simple: to radically enhance the economics of recycled materials through innovative processing and materials technologies.

Role Overview:

We seek an experienced technical engineer with strong technical analysis skills, structured problem-solving, and effective communication to join this dynamic, diverse, and forward-thinking technical team. This role is central to translating the company’s technologies into large-scale facilities. You will be responsible for planning and executing the scale-up tasks, critically reviewing designs and data, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure technical robustness and communication, and resolving challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. If you are passionate about scaling innovative recycling technologies and thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive detailed technical analysis and rigorous problem-solving to ensure robust design, process decisions, and transferability of knowledge from pilot production.
  • Oversee process integration and planning for optimized operations. Identify technical challenges to guide inter- and intra-team experiments and validation works.
  • Improve engineering communication, maintain technical documentation, reports, and process workflows, and ensure clarity and cross-team alignment.
  • Identify and implement best practices in engineering execution and problem-solving.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement in technical execution.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to align technical developments with long-term goals and strategies.

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years of process engineering, chemical engineering, or materials science, with strong expertise in chemical or materials processing
  • Proven experience in coordinating or managing engineering projects, technology scale-up, process design, or engineering construction
  • Ability to logically troubleshoot and solve complex engineering challenges and translate technical data into actionable insights
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to structure complex problem-solving processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in chemical recycling, polymer processing, or waste management is a plus
  • Eligibility to work legally in Canada.

Statement from the Company: Why Join?

We offer a dynamic environment with opportunities for professional growth, technical challenges, and leadership experience. Our team values communication, teamwork, and rigorous problem-solving to tackle industry challenges. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement. Be part of a pioneering company driving the future of chemical recycling and sustainability and contribute to solving real-world environmental challenges while working with passionate and dedicated colleagues.
