Job summary

GCM Consultants is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design and delivery on process engineering projects across Canada. The role involves technical leadership, project coordination, and client interaction, with potential teleworking and flexible hours.

The candidate should hold a Chemical Engineering degree and be versed in oil and gas projects, with bilateral French-English skills considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and licensure with the Order of Engineers of Quebec is expected or asset.
• Oil & gas (refining) experience is an asset.
• Experience in consulting engineering or project execution is an asset.
• Willingness to travel within Canada (few days to 2 weeks).
• Bilingual French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the definition, planning, and development of concepts through detailed engineering.
• Establish design bases and technical criteria for projects.
• Perform or supervise mass and energy balances, process simulations, P&ID development, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, PSV sizing.
• Ensure technical quality of process deliverables and mentor junior/intermediate engineers.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities and ensure technical consistency across teams.
• Plan and monitor hour budgets, schedules, and deliverables; contribute to business development for clients in Eastern Canada; act as main contact for process-related matters.
