Wood is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join the Wood Canada Projects business, focusing on industrial and BioProducts sector projects. This opportunity is hybrid and based in either Calgary AB, Edmonton, AB, Saskatoon SK or Oakville ON.

The Role

Reporting to the Process Department Manager, the Senior Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing process engineering across the full lifecycle of projects within the BioProducts sector. The successful candidate will contribute to key projects in pulp and paper, wood products, bioenergy, biochemicals, carbon capture, and related industries, offering technical leadership and supporting client objectives from concept through to implementation.

Expected :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Eligibility for . registration in a Canadian province
  • 15+ years of heavy industrial experience, including at least 5 years in pulp and paper
  • Experience as a client, supplier, or consultant in relevant sectors
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Quebec or US PE registration
  • Familiarity with engineering software tools used in process analysis and simulation
  • Proficiency in French or Spanish
  • On-site and field experience in client environments
