Securiguard Services is seeking experienced security guards for sites across Hamilton/Oakville. You will enforce regulations, monitor CCTV, control site access, and report incidents with discretion and professional judgment.

Requirements include 1+ year security experience, Ontario Security License, Standard First Aid and CPR with AED, and the ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours. Full-time permanent position with competitive benefits.

Securiguard Services is looking for experienced security guards for our various sites across Hamilton/Oakville. At Securiguard, our mission is to make people feel safe. As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety of our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.

Requirements: 1+ year of security experience, preferably in a Healthcare, Mall/Retail, Campus, Gov’t environment, and/or a diploma in the field of security or law enforcement. Valid Ontario Security License & Valid Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED. Comfort with two-way radio communication. Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy. Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours. Ability to problem solve, effective with crowd management and use discretion and good judgment. Use of force training and/or Military/Law Enforcement background is an asset. Shares and adheres to our values - REACH (Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Courtesy and Honesty). Punctuality & Able to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours. Strong ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports. Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code, and 494(c). Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. Ability to conduct arrests within appropriate and sanctioned situations. Educational background in law enforcement, such as Police Foundation/Criminology/Protection Security and Investigation, is an asset.

Pay rate: $23. Full-time permanent.
