Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned “Senior Principal Engineer” to join the Strategic Service Management team in the DIO organization. This team provides end-to-end observability for infrastructure in our Data Centers.

The ideal candidate has a passion for developing modern software stacks and capabilities that deliver unparalleled digital customer experiences, leveraging open technologies and vendor solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical leadership to evaluate and implement software capabilities for Strategic Service Management, balancing tradeoffs to meet business, product, and architectural requirements.
2. Collaborate with the Office of the OCTO on software architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
3. Serve as a visible technical thought leader both internally and externally.
4. Work with Product Management and stakeholders to develop effective business solutions.
5. Deliver solutions aligned with architectural principles and guidelines.
6. Design and develop highly available, scalable, secure, data-intensive, globally distributed applications.
7. Participate in design and peer code reviews.
8. Collaborate in continuous grooming with the Product Owner.
9. Work in a globally distributed development environment.
10. Investigate, analyze, and evaluate new technologies.
11. Identify technical debt and drive continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience in software innovation, architecture, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern software stacks, including cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with large-scale real-time streaming and web applications.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range
