Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operates production line equipment with training; assembles products, units, or subassemblies that are larger or more complex.
• Drills, taps, or reams holes; aligns components and secures with bolts, screws, or rivets; tests operation of completed product.
• May cut materials.
• Assists more junior operators in performing skilled functions.
• May repair units that fail to meet specifications.
• Mounts components such as transformers and resistors onto chassis panels.
• May perform assembly under microscope or magnification.
• May lead or train less experienced employees.
• Perform inspection to ensure quality standards.
• Other duties as required.
