Job summary

Datavail is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to lead enterprise analytics modernization. You will design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards on certified semantic models, using PBIP formats, Live Connections, and DirectQuery.

You will collaborate with data architects and engineers, develop complex DAX measures, perform validation and reconciliation, and ensure governance and deployment standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions.
• 3+ years with Power BI Service, Semantic Models, and deployment practices.
• Experience building reports using PBIP format and source-controlled development.
• Advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and calculated tables; semantic models with Live Connection/DirectQuery.
• Experience migrating legacy BI platforms and modernizing reporting.
• Strong SQL skills for validation and reconciliation; Git-based version control and deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; PL-300 certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• This role will work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a large-scale analytics modernization initiative
