Job summary

Agropur Cooperative seeks a senior Power Engineering leader to manage and optimize ammonia refrigeration and utilities in our plant. You will coach a skilled team, drive safety, reliability, and energy efficiency, and coordinate maintenance and capital projects to meet production goals.

With 5+ years in industrial refrigeration and appropriate boiler/operator certifications, you will collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety to uphold regulatory standards and

Qualifications

Requires Class 1 Refrigeration Plant Operator Certification and Class 3 Steam/Boiler Operator Certification.
Minimum 5 years operating and maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems in an industrial setting.
Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage, or similar large-scale refrigeration environments.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and schedule the Power Engineering and Refrigeration team to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.
Ensure safe operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration, steam generation, utilities, and related systems.
Respond to equipment failures, coordinate repairs, and minimize downtime.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
Support maintenance and capital projects with technical expertise and coordination.
