KalSoft is currently looking for a Senior Power Platform Developer to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse) and have a proven track record of designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade low-code/no-code solutions. This role is a client-facing contractor engagement, requiring advanced solution design and hands-on development skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, and deliver advanced business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)

  • Develop model-driven and canvas apps, ensuring scalable and secure architecture

  • Implement enterprise-grade automated workflows, integrations, and business process flows using Power Automate and Azure services

  • Design and deliver advanced Power BI data models, dashboards, and analytics solutions

  • Create and manage custom connectors, PCF components, and APIs to extend platform functionality

  • Establish best practices, governance standards, and reusable frameworks for Power Platform development

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and analysts to translate business needs into technical designs

  • Provide technical leadership on Power Platform adoption, scalability, and integration strategies across M365 and Dynamics 365 ecosystems

  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform roadmap and emerging technologies, driving innovation in client solutions

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Canadian residents based in the GTA apply only

  • Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)

  • Strong expertise with both canvas and model-driven apps, including advanced Dataverse schema design and business rules

  • Deep knowledge of Power Automate, including RPA, approval workflows, and enterprise integration with external APIs and services

  • Advanced experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization, row-level security, embedding)

  • Strong experience in custom connectors, PCF controls, and API integration

  • Solid background integrating Power Platform with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365, and Azure services

  • Proficiency in scripting and coding languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, or C# for extending platform capabilities

  • Experience in defining governance, security, and ALM best practices for Power Platform solutions

  • Proven ability to lead solution design discussions with stakeholders and present technical approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent client-facing communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power Platform Developer Associate, Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, or equivalent) are a strong plus
