Job summary

HelloFresh in Toronto is seeking a Protein Procurement Strategy Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for Poultry, improving cost structure, product quality, and supply chain reliability.

You will lead supplier relationships, leverage internal data and benchmarks, and partner with culinary teams to prioritize new products delivering value to customers.

The role also involves mentoring a team and owning Poultry sourcing practices across Meal Kit and Ready-to-Eat brands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related discipline.
• 5+ years of related work experience with supply chain, operations, management consulting or strategic sourcing.
• Direct experience in the Canadian Poultry industry.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and continuous improvement processes.
• Experience leading and developing a team of direct and indirect reports.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong Excel proficiency.
• Ability to influence and communicate a strategic plan to stakeholders at all levels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Refine and implement a poultry sourcing strategy across Meal Kit and Ready-to-Eat brands.
• Build and maintain supplier base and manage performance with strategic suppliers.
• Leverage datasets and benchmarks to drive cost reductions and best practices.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven reporting.
• Partner with culinary team to develop new products benefiting customers.
• Develop and mentor a team of indirect reports.
• Be the subject matter expert for Poultry sourcing.
• All other duties as assigned.
