The Real Estate Quality & Performance Group is a newly established unit of National Bank’s Commercial & Private Banking 1859 Real Estate Team. A career as a Chief Advisor, Quality Control & Training involves providing strategic leadership and guidance to the sales team, ensuring underwriting processes, legal documentation, and tools align with risk policies while optimizing efficiency and maintaining high standards of quality. You will report to the Associate Vice-President of Real Estate Financing and work with the Real Estate Specialized team across Canada. This position offers a hybrid work mode; you organize your weeks between the office, home, and meetings. The role can be based in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or Quebec City.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Identify issues related to KPIs (deposit, ESG, synergies, etc.), recommend and develop templates and standardization to improve real estate operations and sales quality.
  • Provide guidance and coaching as a senior member of the Quality & Performance team.
  • Design and implement training programs for Account Managers and Portfolio Managers in your region, focusing on corporate changes and quality improvement.
  • Offer mentorship and deliver feedback on Client Account Strategies and credit submissions to ensure compliance with bank standards.
  • Support the sales force in modeling complex financing and assist RVPs in operational quality improvement efforts.

Prerequisites :

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in commercial underwriting and real estate financing.
  • Coaching experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and project management abilities.
  • Creative and innovative mindset adaptable to a transforming environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Languages :

    Proficiency in relevant languages is required for collaboration outside Quebec.
