This role offers the opportunity to join an agile, international team during a pivotal period in DevOps, focusing on advanced platform services, container orchestration, and CI / CD automation. The successful candidate will collaborate with dedicated teams to drive innovation and support business growth through the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, fostering operational excellence and exceptional client experiences. This role is hybrid based in Toronto, ON.

Senior Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Automate, write code, and build pipelines, working closely with Software Engineering teams to automate deployments and integrations to PaaS services.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for senior leadership, project managers, and engineering teams, guiding strategic and tactical solutions for self-service, automated cloud, and container-based environments.
  • Deploy and support Kubernetes and related technology stacks, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Engineer and implement new technology solutions across on-premises and public cloud environments.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of cloud-native technologies to support evolving business initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call support to provide 24/7 service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Subject matter expertise in Kubernetes and at least one of the following: JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Tigera Calico Enterprise, AWS EKS, Azure AKS.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI, including development and architecture.
  • Proficiency with REST APIs, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Crossplane, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Knowledge of web, security, and networking protocols, along with public cloud solution architecture.
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, GitOps, Docker, Linux, Windows, and container orchestration.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with web-based applications, web services, and data platforms/services, including API management platforms.
  • Proven ability to deliver customer-focused shared service platforms.
  • Strong commitment to best practices, automation, and eliminating manual operational processes to promote a DevOps-oriented delivery model.
