Job summary

InVita Healthcare Technologies is seeking a Senior Platform Database RUN Engineer to join a hybrid team near Ottawa, Ontario. The role emphasizes broad database development, design, and optimization across SQL Server, Aurora, MySQL, DB/2, with Oracle expertise and replication experience.

You will contribute to selecting and prototyping new databases, developing and testing them, and documenting solutions to meet tight delivery timelines. Strong analytical skills and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in database related software development.
• Hands-on experience working in Query languages (SQL).
• Proven experience in Oracle and at least one more database data model optimization.
• Experience in Oracle Goldengate and a similar replication solution for at least one database.
• Experience in the development of cross-database solutions.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems and networking concepts; Linux and shell scripting.
• Highly analytical mindset with ability to see both the big picture and the details.
• Innovation, flexibility, adaptability and positive attitude towards change.
• Proven ability to make recommendations to resolve problems in line with company policies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for liaising within and beyond project teams.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• At least Bachelor’s degree in a software engineering related field (or equivalent).

Job Title: Senior Platform Database RUN Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Ontario, must be in commutable distance from Downtown Ottawa and/or St. Laurent/East End

Reporting to: Platform Engineering Team Lead OR Platform Operations Team Lead

Hours of work: Typical hours of work are from 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM local time Monday through Friday. Flexibility of Working Hours dependent on location. Additional hours may be necessary as needed. This position is exempt from overtime.
