Senior PeopleSoft HCM Systems Administrator to provide customizations and development work for PeopleSoft upgrade - RFC-2025-028
Our public sector client is looking for a Senior PeopleSoft HCM Systems Administrator to provide customizations and development work for PeopleSoft upgrade.
Initially 6-month contract with chances of extension. Hybrid 1 day/week in the office at New Westminster.
Must have:
- 10+ years of PeopleSoft Technical System Administration and upgrade experience.
- Expert level PeopleSoft (PUM) implementation/upgrade knowledge/experience as well as demonstrated knowledge of HR and Payroll modules.
- Skills and experience in debugging/troubleshooting techniques for technical issues related to infrastructure components including application/web servers, process scheduler, integration broker, Elasticsearch server, SMTP server and database.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with installation and maintenance of PeopleSoft and related components (Tuxedo, Java, WebLogic, Web services, Web servers, Redundancy, PUM, PeopleTools etc.)
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of the Oracle PeopleSoft architecture and experience with PeopleSoft v9.2 and PeopleTools v.8 8.62.
- Experience with MS SQL Server along with a strong understanding of RDBMS and SQL skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in working with bargaining unit (union) employees within a public sector environment
Responsibilities:
- Architecting and designing application deployment environments to be robust, secure, reliable and highly available.
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining all PeopleSoft application environments and accompanying MS SQL Server databases in accordance with industry best practices.
- Escalating issues/problems to Oracle support and third parties as appropriate.
- Preparing and configuring test environments and new servers.
- Software installation and application of updates.
- Developing user roles within the system.
- Application testing and troubleshooting for isolating technical problems within the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including SQL Server databases, application servers, and process schedulers.
- Performance tuning, system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Load balancing and firewall activities using F5.
