Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior Payroll & Pension Analyst who will be REMOTE but willing to travel up to 20%, including a few days every other month to one of our Canada offices in Burlington, Kitchener, or Peterborough. The role will work closely with HR admin and operations in Canada to coordinate and align activities across all regions.

Your Day to Day :
  • Coordinate processing of all global payroll cycles, including regular and off-cycle runs
  • Perform info type and time comparisons before each payroll to ensure accuracy within SAP and payroll systems
  • Check payroll reports for issues and conduct root cause analysis for corrections
  • Lead and guide on time systems related to payroll projects
  • Reconcile payroll with the general ledger and coordinate global payroll funding and third-party payments
  • Respond to Tier 2 and Tier 3 payroll and time inquiries from employees and non-employees, and seek opportunities to enhance Tier I support
  • Assist with year-end processes and government forms for all countries
  • Review retro pay adjustments for accuracy
  • Prepare payroll forecast vs. actual reports for analysis and cash flow planning
  • Work with payroll providers to resolve processing issues and improve processes
  • Establish and report on global payroll metrics, recommending process improvements
  • Collaborate with providers to resolve payroll issues and manage ticketing system entries
  • Participate in payroll projects for ongoing improvements
  • Manage reporting on pension and benefits contributions and employer matching
  • Maintain accurate payroll and pension records with HR and Finance systems
  • Resolve issues related to salary, benefits, and pension accounts
  • Work within SLAs and report on performance, implementing process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by payroll management
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
Who You Are :
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, including global payroll processing
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in processing global payroll in a high-volume environment
  • Experience handling Tier 2 and Tier 3 payroll inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Proficiency with SAP / SuccessFactors
  • Experience with outsourced payroll organizations
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet payroll deadlines
