Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Consultant, Application Development (Payments) in Toronto to design, develop and maintain scalable web applications across lines of business. You will work on both front-end and back-end components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end payment solutions.

The role is on-site full-time with a hybrid schedule (1–3 days on-site, remaining days remote). You’ll bring 6–8 years of Java experience and knowledge of GoLang, containers, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Java development; GoLang knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker), cloud services (Azure), and databases.

Responsibilities

• Build, implement and maintain modular web solutions across multiple lines of business.
• Design, develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of complex web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with strong UX, design and functionality.
