Job summary

Lactalis Canada is seeking aSenior Buyer to develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging categories across North America. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and drive cost reduction while ensuring supply continuity in a complex FMCG environment.

You will collaborate with Plant Operations, Packaging Development, Marketing, Finance and Global Procurement to align goals with company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or another appropriate discipline.
• 3–7 years’ experience in a Procurement function, preferably in a food company.
• Experience in paper/glass/metallic packaging categories is an asset.
• High initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent planning, project management and leadership abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budget objectives by developing and supporting North American sourcing strategy initiatives for the assigned portfolio.
• Support development of local/regional sourcing strategies for managed categories using spend data and supplier research.
• Lead the strategy implementation for the category, aligning with business unit needs.
• Provide support for Purchasing in SRM, pricing, and master data communication.
• Identify and execute cost savings initiatives and productivity projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Quality and Marketing.
• Develop supplier relationships to optimize quality, performance, and total cost of ownership.
