Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Developer to support enterprise-scale technology solutions in a large financial services environment in Toronto. The role emphasizes hands-on development, performance tuning, and data integration using SQL/PL/SQL.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Oracle experience, strong PL/SQL skills, and familiarity with Oracle 12c/19c on Linux.

Qualifications

8+ years of Oracle database development.
Strong PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, collections, and exception handling.
Advanced SQL with query tuning and performance optimization.
Experience with Oracle 12c/19c and Linux-based environments.
Database design, data modeling, normalization, and indexing strategies.
Experience integrating applications with databases using JDBC and REST-based services.
Knowledge of transaction management, concurrency, locking, and database security.
Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
Experience in high-volume financial or digital applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

Hands-on Oracle database development and maintenance.
Design schemas and optimize performance for enterprise-scale solutions.
Implement stored procedures, packages, and functions with robust error handling.
Support integrations via JDBC and REST-based services.
Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
