Job summary

EY Edmonton invites experienced valuation professionals to join our Valuation team. You will lead and participate in complex valuation analyses, develop robust valuation models, and prepare comprehensive reports for varied matters including transactions, financial reporting, tax, and litigation.

You will synthesize client information, identify key business drivers, and contribute to client relationships and internal business development.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation required.
• CBV and/or CFA designation or actively pursuing one.
• Senior: minimum 3 years of experience.
• Manager: minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 in valuations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Ability to synthesize client information and key business drivers.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior or Manager, you will be an important part of our diversely talented, highly experienced Valuation team, and you will gain experience from working on a wide variety of assignments across our many clients.

You will be leading and participating in valuation and financial analyses and applying valuation theories and approaches, including: gathering relevant supporting information; analyzing market and research information; participating in the formulation of valuation approaches; developing valuation models; and preparation of formal and informal valuation reports for a variety of matters such as transactions, financial reporting, tax and litigation matters.

• Manager:
• Cultivate and manage client relationships, while expanding and strengthening existing partnerships through active participation in both internal and external business development activities.
• Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members; fostering their professional growth and development

To qualify for the role, you must have

• CPA or CA, CPA designation
• CBV and/or CFA designation or actively pursuing one of these designations
• Senior: Minimum 3 years of experience
• Manager: Minimum 5 years of experience and minimum 3 of those years in performing valuations
• Ability to synthesize client information and understand key business drivers
• Strong computer and financial modelling skills
• Committed to staying at the cutting edge of financial, valuation and accounting standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills; superior analytical skills; demonstrated project management skills; and an energetic attitude toward successful project completion and business development.
