Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a senior operational risk advisor in the Montreal area to help prevent, analyze and guide guidelines for suspicious and fraudulent transactions across components of the organization. You will lead complex strategic initiatives requiring coordination with multiple stakeholders and senior management.

The role emphasizes policy development, risk assessment and crisis management, with a temporary 12-month horizon.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of French is required.
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Advise clients and partners to position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic initiatives.
Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support projects.
Identify, diagnose and address major issues and make recommendations to decision bodies.
Represent the unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies.
Represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins with external partners and organizations.
