The Opportunity

Are you a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills? Do you excel independently and in leadership roles? We are seeking a Senior Operational Auditor with a background in public accounting or internal auditing, excellent communication skills, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Promote internal audit as a value-added service and improve the control environment.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage operational, compliance, and financial audits.
  • Ensure audits comply with professional standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate systems and activities for control effectiveness and performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop audit scope and work programs.
  • Lead audit projects, assign tasks, and coordinate team efforts.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and the Executive Assurance Committee.
  • Communicate with management throughout projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Degree/diploma in accounting, auditing, finance, computer science, or business management.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in public accounting or internal auditing.
  • Post-graduate professional designation (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is an asset.
  • Understanding of internal audit standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT auditing knowledge.
  • Data analytics and project management skills are assets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license and willingness to obtain a Toronto Police Service Blue Card.
